ඉස්ලාමීය අන්තවාදයට එරෙහිව තම අදහස් ඉදිරිපත් කළ - බංග්ලාදේශයේ ‘බ්ලොග්‘ කරුවකු වන අහමඩ් රජීඩ් හෙයිඩර් පසුගියදා, (2013.02.15) කපා කොටා මරා දමන ලදි.
ඒ අතර 1971 බංග්ලාදේශය (එවක නැගෙනහිර පකිස්ථානය) පකිස්ථානයට (එවක බටහිර පකිස්ථානය) එරෙහිව දියත් කළ සන්නද්ධ නිදහසේ සටනේදී පකිස්ථානුවන් හා එක්ව, තුන් ලක්ෂයකට ආසන්න බංග්ලාදේශ ජාතිකයින් මරා දමන ලදි. මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් පවතින යුධ අපරාධ නඩු වලදී බරපතල ලෙසට චෝදනනා එල්ල වී ඇත්තේ බංග්ලාදේශයේ ප්‍රධානතම පක්ෂය වූ ඉස්ලාමීය ජමාට් ඉස්ලාම් පක්ෂයේ නායකයින්ටය.
මෙම පක්ෂයේ අනුගාමිකයින්ද - යුද්ධ අපරාධකරුවන්ට එරෙහිව නඩු පැවරීම් නතර කරවීම සදහා වීදි බැස උද්ඝෝෂණ කරති. මෙම ඉස්ලාමීය අන්තවාදීන් - යුද්ධ අපරාධ කරුවන්ට දඩුවම් නොකළ බව ප්‍රකාශ කරන අතර, ඉස්ලාමීය අන්තවාදයට එරෙහි මත ප්‍රකාශ කරන්නවුන් මරා දැමිය යුතු බව ප්‍රකාශ කරති.
වෙනත් ඉස්ලාමීය රටවලට මෙන් නොව නිදහස් මත අගය කරන අති විශාල බහුතරයක් සිටින රටකි බංග්ලාදේශය. එහි තරුණයන් අන්තර්ජාලය උපයෝගී කර ගනිමින් නිදහස් අදහස් ප්‍රකාශ කරති. මෙය නොඉවසන ඉස්ලාමීය අන්තවාදීන් - මෙම නිදහස් මතධාරීන් මරා දැමිය යුතු බවට තීරණය කර තිබේ.
වත්මන් බංග්ලාදේශ ආණ්ඩුව මෙම බලපෑම් වලට නතුව මෙම් වන විට බ්ලොග් ගණනාවක් තහනම් කර ඇත. ඒ සමාජය ආරක්ෂා කිරීමට බව ප්‍රකාශ කරමින්ය.

Anti-Islamist blogger killed in Bangladesh violence
A 30-year-old architect and member of the Shahbagh activist network, Haider was well known for criticizing Islamic fundamentalism under the blog name of Thaba Baba. Police found Haider's body near his home in Palashnagar, a residential district of Dhaka, on the evening of 15 February. Ibad Ali, a policeman at the scene, said his body bore the marks of machete wounds.
He had been covering the street demonstrations taking held since 5 February to demand trials and the severest penalties for Islamist leaders guilty of war crimes during Bangladesh's 1971 war of independence against Pakistan.
Shortly before the news of Haider's death, the demonstrators had decided to limit their presence on the streets to seven hours a day. After his death was reported, they rescinded this decision and announced their intention to stay on the streets permanently.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina offered her condolences to Haider's family on 16 February, when it was announced that responsibility for the investigation had been transferred from the Pallabi neighbourhood police station to the department of investigations. The police said they had so far questioned eight people but did not identify them.
In the Dhaka district of Kapasia, the ruling Awami League declared two days of mourning, calling for black badges to be worn and forblack flags to be hung in all commercial establishments.
Flags were flown at half-mast over all the schools in the district yesterday, while students sang the national anthem in support of the Shahbagh protesters. The protesters brandished black flags at 11 a.m. today and observed a minute's silence.
